What is a crawler Lane?

A crawler lane is an additional lane provided on a steep uphill section of road. It allows slow-moving vehicles, such as lorries, buses, caravans, and heavily loaded vehicles, to move into the extra lane so that faster traffic can continue safely without being delayed.
